What is Fear Free?
FearFree is an education and certification program for staff, practices, and pet owners. It gives us tools we can use and an understanding of how to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) in your companion animals.
The programs and courses are built on a foundation of evidence-based research, performed by FearFree participating veterinary care and research facilities. The goal of FearFree is as follows:
Our mission is to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them.
Practicing FearFree allows us to not only deliver better medical care, but also increases safety for our staff, patients, and their owners. High FAS not only negatively impacts their experience with us, but also their overall health.
